The Big Idea

Today, I’m going to show you a cool project I’m working on with 3D printing. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the market, but I know some of you love reading about some of the little side projects I work on around Knoxville, and I thought you’d enjoy this.

Ask the Pros — Today at 12:00 PM ET

I’m going to be on Ask the Pros in just a little while. They’re also having Andrew Bustamante, a former CIA spy, on to talk about the situation in Europe. I’m really interested to see what he’ll have to say, then you can listen to me give my updates on the markets.

Let’s Get To It

So, if you don’t know, I’ve been 3D Printing for a while now.

I 3D printed my wedding ring!

And I even have a chapter in a 3D printing book over on Amazon!

It’s one of my favorite hobbies (although my wife says that collecting hobbies is my hobby! Haha)

And recently I’ve been working on a project for a neighbor:

It’s a mount that he can use to put his collection of Ryobi tools up on his wall off the workbench.

Maybe not something everyone needs. But it’s something he needs, and I can make it for him.

That’s what makes 3D Printing so cool to me: you can design something that doesn’t exist and make it a reality!

In this case, I solved a problem that my neighbor had with a little engineering and some polymer.

I even branded it, too! Haha

I really enjoy working on projects like this when I’m not sitting behind a trade desk.

Hope you enjoy your Friday,
